The sixth commandment, is an invitation to love the way God loves. It goes beyond avoiding infidelity, calling us to integrate body and soul so that our sexuality becomes a genuine gift of self.

Why are we here? Science can tell us a great deal about how the universe works, but to understand why it exists in the first place, we need philosophy and theology. In the first few pages of Genesis, we discover not just where we came from, but who made us and what we’re made for.

The commandment “you shall not kill” is an invitation to treasure life as a gift. It goes beyond not causing physical harm, to loving and respecting every human life from its very beginning to its natural end.

The Old Testament presents the fourth commandment as follows: “Honour your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you” (Ex 20:12). It is a commandment that includes a promise from God: the promise to favour the child who loves his parents.

The mystery of the Trinity is at the very heart of the Christian faith. The Catechism calls it “the central mystery of Christian faith and life” (CCC 234), because it answers the most important question of all: Who is God? While we can never fully grasp this mystery, we can understand it enough to believe, pray, and live in relationship with God.

The third commandment is about rest and its importance for anyone who works or studies. It also includes our need to worship God in the way He wants us to: through the Holy Mass.

When Moses asked God his name, the reply was at once mysterious and profound: “I am who am.” It means God doesn’t just exist; He is Existence itself. And if that’s true, then the qualities we find in everything that exists can tell us something about Him.

Confirmation is much more than a mere commitment. Like the other sacraments, it has much more to do with God's action in us than our response.

If you were a top physicist whose memory had been completely wiped after a car accident, how would you try to regain the knowledge you lost? You would not want to start with hardcore physics, for sure. First, you would probably take basic mathematics and other foundational courses before exploring more challenging topics.

The first commandment is key to our entire existence: it is the only possible foundation for a fulfilled human life. Love for God includes love for those whom God loves.
