Anyone wishing to report a suspected case of abuse can do so in complete confidentiality by writing to contact.opusdei@gmail.com or by calling 514-441-8397. The Prelature of Opus Dei in Canada has adopted a set of norms for the protection of children, youth, and vulnerable persons, in accordance with the Guidelines issued by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB).

The Canadian Conference for Catholic Bishops issued guidelines entitled Protecting Minors from Sexual Abuse (2018) for dioceses in Canada. Following those instructions, the Prelature of Opus Dei in Canada has adopted similar guidelines for the apostolic activities of the Prelature involving minors.

Also, in accord with the aforementioned document of the CCCB, the Prelature in Canada has approved a policy for dealing with allegations of sexual abuse of minors and has established a review board to study any such cases.

To report an instance of sexual abuse of a minor by personnel of the Prelature, you can do so confidentially by writing to contact.opusdei@gmail.com or calling the Child Protection Coordinator at (514) 441-8397.
