For about a year Pope Francis has dedicated his Wednesday general audience to the topic of Christian hope. We very much need it, said the Holy Father when he started this series: “We need hope! … Life is often a desert. It is difficult to walk in life, but if we trust in God it can become beautiful and wide as a highway.“

This book is a collection of the complete series of weekly addresses on Christian hope. In it we see the closeness and simplicity of the Holy Father. A breath of fresh air for all Christians, and for those who in one way or another come close to the faith: “God walks with me.” Let us pray that every single person reading and meditating on these texts may reach this intimate conviction, so as to “live joyfully in hope” and pass on this joy to everyone around us.
