As a token of gratitude, I would like to briefly relate some of the favours that have been granted to me through the intercession of Blessed Alvaro del Portillo in recent years.

Last night God put in my heart an urgency to write this letter and that is why I got up early today, and here I am writing it. It all started with my son: he had acute asthma and was not responding to any treatment.

My situation at work was not easy. On one occasion, I needed a raise; on another, I needed to change location in order to continue with my studies.

For many years, Blessed Alvaro was in charge of carrying out financial matters that Saint Josemaría entrusted to him. For this reason, people from all over the world turn to his intercession in similar situations. We publish some favours narrated in the first person.

Here is the intention from 2 October 2021 to 2 October 2022, which the Prelate is suggesting to the faithful and friends of Opus Dei.

Life is a gift that comes through the love of parents. But that gift requires efforts, often unexpected and even heroic. Sometimes even the life of the mother and the child on the way hang by a thread.
