More than 15 cooperators and friends of the Work recently participated in a Cooperator’s Seminar at the Tigoni Study Center in Kenya. The seminar from 21 to 23 October 2022 looked at the opportunities and risks that come with navigating modern complexities in family and community life.

Marching to the beat of the prayer intention that the Prelate has proposed for faithful and friends of the Work across the world for the next year, for those in East and Southern Africa, the vicar has proposed a regional prayer intention running until Easter Sunday (9th April) 2023.
Contemplating the Rosary through Art and Scripture
In the first centuries of Christianity, not many people were literate and neither were there many copies of the Bible in circulation. However, this didn’t prevent them from contemplating the mysteries of our faith, thanks to the work of many artists who depicted stories from both the Old and the New Testament. These were often found in the Catacombs, and later in Churches and even on the streets and squares of the cities, once Christianity ceased to be a persecuted religion.

"It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." Many parents realise this instinctively. Many have taken concrete steps towards raising "strong children". One example of these concrete steps are the boys clubs started by fathers, supported by mothers and run by the same fathers with help from energetic volunteers.

Extraordinary graces, ordinary motherhood
Born and bred in Japan, Shoko Hazama-de Guzman visited Australia in 1996 to study at a hospitality college in Randwick. She soon fell in love with the country, decided to stay, and in 2003 she was married. Shoko and her husband were excited to start a family - but it would be six years before this would happen, and only through the intercession of St Josemaria.
