After about thirty years of his first encounter, Fr. Idahosa still relishes the short sayings of "The Way". Recently he read the 999 points afresh, during 87 days, with an online group on WhatsApp called Cell Word Sharing. The group which has up to 673 members promotes the reading of spiritual books. Their final challenge was: What is your 1000th point from your overall study of the book?

Saturday 17th December 2022 was D-Day for a families’ get-together, hosted by the Musyokis’ at their residence in Kyumbi area of Machakos County (Kenya). The get-together had been organized by people from Machakos, and their families, who attend means of formation.

The following spiritual retreats have been organised at the various venues listed below in 2023.

On Thursday the 8th of December we were supposed to start the supernumerary’s annual seminar at Mbagala Spiritual Center, in Dar es Salam but difficulties with the visa for Fr. Joe and Luis meant we started a day late. It is the second such seminar to take place in Tanzania and it was exciting to see what would change from last year.

Let us pray that volunteer non-profit and human development organizations may find people willing to commit themselves to the common good and ceaselessly seek out new paths of international cooperation.

On October 9, 2022, towards 8 pm, Bem Basil breathed his last. For all who knew him, it was not a sad day because of the Christian hope that both Bem and they had. Many spent that day in prayer and as news of his death spread, the sadness began to change to thanksgiving. This is how Bem would have wanted us all to react to his passing into eternity.

Let us pray for children who are suffering, especially for those who are homeless, orphans, and victims of war. May they be guaranteed access to education and may they have the opportunity to experience family affection.
