My dear children: may Jesus watch over my daughters and sons for me!
Just a few words to express the hope that, naturally, the Pope’s first Encyclical will not only be read soon by everyone, but also be a topic of personal reflection, with the desire to widely spread its message.
This reading can also be an opportunity to meditate, with gratitude to our Lord, on the reality of the Roman Pontiff's mission as the visible source of faith and communion in the universal Church. And, at the same time, a reminder to be united in prayer for his work and intentions.
The recent priestly ordination of members of the Work, besides being a reason for thanksgiving and prayer for the new priests, can also be an opportunity to meditate on the priestly soul of everyone, both men and women, rooted in the common priesthood of the faithful, about which Saint Josemaría spoke to us so much.
Today we entrust ourselves especially to Mary, Mother of the Church, asking her to obtain for us from our Lord an ever-deeper love for the Successor of Peter and a renewed desire to serve all souls.
Your Father blesses you with all his affection.
