The workshop was based on Pope Francis’s call in Amoris Laetitia to find better ways to accompany families more closely. It explored new and emerging challenges facing families today and the need to align interventions in a way that reflects these realities.
Africa, with its long tradition of large families, was especially well represented in this gathering. Kenya was the 3rd most represented country following Spain and Mexico. Other African countries represented were Nigeria, Ivory Coast and DRC Congo.
