The same happens to us when trying to understand God. We had a total and innate knowledge of Him when He made us. But after the sin committed by Adam and Eve, this knowledge vanished, and humans had to start learning about God one bit at a time.
In this episode, host Caitlin West reflects on questions that have bothered many for a very long time. Why does God go through the trouble of making himself known to us? What does Jesus mean when he says, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9)? In what ways can we meet Christ and get to know him better?
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (no. 65) says, “In giving us His Son, His only Word, He spoke everything to us at once in this sole Word, and He has no more to say” (CCC 65). If this is the case, why do we still have debates about what is right and wrong with different ethical, moral, and religious questions? Didn’t Jesus say it all already?
In Jesus, we have everything we need to understand God, morality, and Truth. But how can we get to know Him? God gave us three sources, each with a specific role in guiding us in our journey. Want to learn more about them? Tune in!
