This past Saturday, the 17th of September, the Strathmore fraternity gathered to celebrate 10 years of the Macheo Achievement Program and the Financial Aid office. It was a celebration to mark a decade of life-changing financial support, character formation and service to society.

Looking toward the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Opus Dei (2028-2030), the centenary committee invited professionals working in social initiatives inspired by St. Josemaría or encouraged by his teachings to meet and share their experiences.

Harambee launches a symposium on experimental designs to tackle current global crises. The symposium convokes individuals from different fields and marks the beginning of concrete initiatives around the centenary of Opus Dei, founded by St. Josemaría Escrivá, whose teachings and message inspired Harambee.

In his 21 September general audience, Pope Francis reflected on his recent apostolic journey to Kazakhstan.

Each year, Banilad School in the Philippines sees young girls leave its halls, brimming with hope, looking forward to bringing a bright future to their families and to become valuable contributors to the food, hotel, and restaurant service sectors.

Last June, a group of high school students from different parts of the United States traveled to Quisque, in the mountains of Yauyos, Peru. The aim of the service project was to help restore the local church and give English classes to children in the area.

Let us pray that the death penalty, which attacks the dignity of the human person, may be legally abolished in every country.

One example of these concrete steps are the boys clubs started by fathers, supported by mothers and run by the same fathers with help from energetic volunteers.
