Let us pray to God Our Lord that the faithful of the Prelature, cooperators, friends, and all those taking part in our apostolic activities prepare for the Centennial by delving deeper into the ideal of being contemplatives in the middle of the world, especially by seeing the Holy Mass as the center and root of our existence.
Practical Guidelines:
- Let us more fully and lovingly participate in the Holy Mass, and with our priestly soul, turn our whole day into the Mass. “Keep struggling, so that the Holy Sacrifice of the Altar really becomes the center and root of your interior life, and so your whole day will turn into an act of worship—an extension of the Mass you have attended and a preparation for the next.” (Forge 69)
- In expanding our apostolic reach during this year of preparation, let us follow the example of the first Christians and rely on the Holy Eucharist. “Be a eucharistic soul! If the center around which your thoughts and hopes turn is the Tabernacle, then, my child, how abundant the fruits of your sanctity and apostolate will be!” (Forge 835)
- Let us make more frequent visits to the Blessed Sacrament and consistently make spiritual communions to help us discover that ‘divine something’ hidden in the most common realities of work, family, and civic life.
