Letter from the Prelate (26 April 2026)

The Prelate of Opus Dei invites us to intensify our prayer for peace, in union with the Pope and the whole Church.

My dear children: may Jesus watch over my daughters and sons for me!

In this brief message, I want to suggest that you intensify your prayer, closely united with the Pope and the whole Church, for the peace that our world so desperately needs; a peace that can only be fully found in Christ: “For he is our peace” (Eph 2:14).

Even when confronting difficulties and personal failings, with our Lord we can always have, along with peace, the joy of knowing we are “under the loving look of God, all day long” (Friends of God, no. 307). Contemplating our Lord and knowing we are contemplated by him: this is our security, not our own meager strength. Therefore, let us always strive to be, as our Father wanted, sowers of peace and joy in every area of our life: at home, in our work, and in our friendships.

Your Father blesses you with all his affection.
