Parishes all around the world will be celebrating the first feast day of St. Josemaría this June 26. “The feast of St. Josemaría reminds us that God calls all of us to live holy lives,” said Father Thomas G. Bohlin, the U.S. Vicar of Opus Dei. “St. Josemaría constantly taught that we can find God not just in church, but in our work, social and family activities.”
In the United States, special Masses will be celebrated by Cardinal Edward Egan at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, Cardinal William Keeler at the National Shrine in Washington, Archbishop Charles Chaput in Denver, Archbishop Justin Rigali in St. Louis, Bishop Joseph Perry in Chicago, Bishop Joseph Galante in Dallas, Bishop Joseph Fiorenza in Houston, Bishop William Winter in Pittsburgh, and Bishop Ignatius Wang in San Francisco. Special Masses will occur in many other cities as well.
