A Weekly Video of St. Josemaría

To see someone who is now contemplating God in heaven and to hear that person speak about God is a welcome opportunity for a Christian. On the fifth anniversary of St. Josemaría’s canonization, our web page inaugurates a new section: Short Videos of the Founder.

The new section of the web-site.

Five years ago--on October 6, 2002--the Church celebrated the canonization of St. Josemaría Escriva.  "His teachings," John Paul II stated, "have helped many ordinary Christians discover faith’s redemptive power and their own ability to transform the earth."

Those teachings can be found in the St. Josemaría’s books and in numerous filmed gatherings. In these gatherings, this twentieth-century saint spoke with thousands of persons about God.  These films, which help us follow in the footsteps of someone who has attained sanctity, should be considered one of God's gifts to help us attain the same goal.

The fifth anniversary of the canonization provides the occasion for presenting 52 videos (with English subtitles) containing brief extracts from those gatherings.  He responds to questions raised by those present about matters that still concern persons today:  "How can I love my children more each day?"   "How can I sanctify my work?"  "Speak to us about Confession."  "Father, I've suffered a setback."

Each week St. Josemaría speaks on a different subject such as hope, forgiveness, love, raising children, fellowship, friendship.

The videos are accessible on computers in three formats.
