Blessed Alvaro del Portillo, was an exemplary bishop and priest who served the Church at all times. In this Jubilee year convoked by Pope Francis, dedicated to Hope with the motto “Pilgrims of Hope”, we want to highlight in this Newsletter how he lived this virtue.

On the occasion of the centenary of the priestly ordination of St Josemaria Escriva on 28 March 1925, a commemoration conference was held in Saragossa, Spain. This Newsletter offers a short summary of the celebration and also describes St Josemaría’s ordination and his First Mass in 1925.

17 May 2024 is the anniversary of the Beatification of Josemaría Escrivá (1992)

Throughout his life, St Josemaría Escrivá reflected an attitude of complete fidelity and service to the Church, “the same one Christ founded. It cannot be any other”.
