Zaragoza, Logroño, and Rome: Celebrating 100 years Since St. Josemaría's Ordination

To commemorate the hundredth anniversary of Saint Josemaría Escrivá’s ordination to the priesthood, the city of Zaragoza hosted a series of events from 27 to 30 March. These included academic gatherings, liturgical celebrations, and festive family meetings. Similar events took place in Rome and Logroño, locations that played a significant role in the founder of Opus Dei’s life and childhood.

New Website to Discover the History of Opus Dei

The Josemaría Escrivá Study Center (Centro de Estudios Josemaría Escrivá) has launched a new website featuring interactive tools, including timelines and maps, and articles by historians. Published on the eve of the centenary of the priestly ordination of the founder of Opus Dei, the site offers previously unpublished content on this milestone.

Our Lady of Peace: Prelatic Church of Opus Dei

On 24 January we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Peace. This is the Marian invocation to which the prelatic church of Opus Dei in Rome is dedicated, and it is the place where St. Josemaría Escrivá's mortal remains repose. The dedication ceremony was officiated by Bl. Alvaro del Portillo on 2 May 1986.
