Opus Dei

Macheo ("sunrise" in Swahili) is an after-school support program for students from one of Africa's largest slums, Kibera, in Nairobi, Kenya. It is organized and staffed by students and teachers from Strathmore University, a corporate work of Opus Dei.

Over the years, Strathmore students and staff have visited the prison to donate learning materials and interact with the prisoners through several platforms like the annual football tournament. Strathmore Community Service Centre also sponsors inmates to pursue accountancy courses.
