Opus Dei

This Roman university, born under the inspiration of St. Josemaría Escrivá, "was made possible by the love for the Church and the priesthood that characterized the Founder of Opus Dei."

Fr. Joseph was one of the first three priests of Opus Dei, and died with a reputation for holiness in Boston in 1983. John Coverdale has written a brief biography of this exemplary priest.

The website, www.josemariaescriva.info, has been redesigned and enlarged. It now becomes the fullest internet site for information about "the saint of the ordinary," as John Paul II called him.

On July 6th, a Mass for the feast of Saint Josemaría Escrivá was celebrated at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Saigon.

“Be sowers of peace and joy,” said St Josemaria in his catechesis. And this sowing has reached Ushuaia, the southern-most city of Argentina, which has dedicated a street to him.
