Guadalupe Ortiz was born in Madrid in 1916 on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. One of the first women in Opus Dei, she began its apostolic work with women in Mexico.

Guadalupe Ortiz de Landazuri was born in Madrid, on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 12 December 1916, and died in Pamplona on 16 July 1975. She was beatified on 18 May 2019, in Madrid.
