25th of August 2018 marked 60 years since Opus Dei started stable work on the continent of Africa, precisely in East Africa. This article traces the history of that divine African adventure.

Tekeleza is a Kiswahili word that means ‘to achieve’. The program, under Kianda Foundation, has been running for two years and has seen over 200 teenagers go through it. It aims at helping young girls understand themselves, lead themselves and influence others in order to create positive change in the world. The program has been run in Nairobi, Kisumu and Kitui.

On Monday 9th April, 2018, the Vatican published an Apostolic Exhortation by Pope Francis on "The Call to Holiness in Today's World". The 46-page document takes its Latin name, "Gaudete et Exsultate", from the opening words, "Rejoice and be glad!" -- a quotation from St Matthew's Gospel (5:12).
