Professor Ada Nwaneri, who recently passed, remembered by friends

Professor Ada Caroline Nwaneri was a professor of Nursing, Induction and Personnel Psychology at the University of Nigeria. She was a numerary member of Opus Dei.

Her family members, many former students and colleagues were present at her funeral Mass on the 15h of January. The chief celebrant at her funeral was the Regional Vicar of Opus Dei in Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Anthony Odoh. In his homily Fr. Odoh reminded everyone present that Caroline, a numerary member of Opus Dei, knew that her mission was a special one “of service”: to give formation to people, and to help others through her example, friendship and words to realise that their ordinary life, the things that make up their day was their place of encounter with God. Professor Nwaneri was later laid to rest at the Iwollo Conference Centre, in a burial place where other members of Opus Dei who passed before her are buried.
