Prayer intention for Opus Dei in Nigeria (2 October 2026 to 2 October 2027)

In every region of the world where Opus Dei is present, the faithful of the Prelature are invited to pray and work towards a prayer intention that addresses local needs, often within the context of the general intention set out by the Prelate. We are publishing the prayer intention for Nigeria, valid from 2 October 2026 to 2 October 2027.

The Prelate of Opus Dei has suggested that we prepare, during the next 12 months, for the centenary of Opus Dei’s foundation by delving deeper into the ideal of being contemplatives in the middle of the world (cf. Letter from the Prelate, 19 March 2026). Let us ask our Lord that the faithful of the Prelature in Nigeria, cooperators, friends, and all who take part in the apostolic activities, follow that suggestion through a greater effort to live in God’s presence throughout the day, discovering that “divine something” hidden in the most common realities of work, family, and civic life.
