The Sinai Children

The very final day of the end of their last secondary school academic year, with very little time to rest, 35 young men closed their suitcases to get ready to fly to Nairobi (Kenya) on a volunteer activity which would last 2 weeks. They would be helping out in some schools of the poorest slums of the country.

Empowering the boy child

Generation Y is a local production by TV-Cosmopolitan (TVC). They recently took a specific focus on the boy child empowerment problem that has seen a society of men who seem to have lost identity and purpose. Among the interviews they carried out were a few in Eastlands College of Technology that focuses on empowering the boy child, enrolling male students from humble backgrounds and equipping them with technical skills.

On Thursday 10th December, the youngest in the Strathmore Family - Eastlands College of Technology - held their official opening ceremony. The event was graced by the Minister for Education and Youth Affairs in the Nairobi County Government, Mr. Christopher Khaemba.
