The official opening and consecration of the St. Agnes Catholic Church Chebarus was conducted by His Lordship Rt Rev Maurice Anthony Crowley on Easter Sunday 1st April 2018.

It was a very colourful ceremony which was attended by very many faithful from the whole Parish. The church was full with a number of faithful standing during the Mass and the subsequent fundraiser to clear debts and launch other related projects.

The Bishop gave heartfelt thanks to Mr Samuel Motari who donated the land and is the current Chairman of the council as well as to the other contributors who helped in the completion of the church.

A special mention was made of Strathmore University through its Community Outreach Programme. The chairman was emphatic in saying that the university stood with the local community in the development efforts of the project from the foundation up to the end.
