Opus Dei

The Prelate reflects on the sanctifying value of our work and, in the context of the current global crisis, urges us "to purify our faith, foster hope, and grow in charity."

We have a human ideal that becomes divine. New horizons of hope open up in our life and we come to the point of sacrificing willingly.

As a child, the Founder of Opus Dei loved to be told a story about robbers. Each time he was delighted to hear it again. And so it is with the Gospel which is always the same and alway new (Weekly video: 1 ’23”).

Cristina Zudaire, an Argentinean supernumerary, is the mother of five, an organist, and a lover of Bach’s music. She tries to always leave room for beauty in "the hustle and bustle of daily life."

On Tuesday 18 August 1959, St Josemaría Escrivá visited the town of Cahir in County Tipperary during his only stay in Ireland. On that same day fifty years later, a ceremony took place in the town square.
