Susana's prayers to Bishop Alvaro for the recovery of her son have been cited by the Holy See in Bishop Alvaro's beatification process, since Jose Ignacio's recovery has been declared medically inexplicable.

During the conference held in Rome March 12-14 for the centennial of Alvaro del Portillo, a number of people testified to his influence on their own life and on the life of the Church.

Alvaro del Portillo was born on March 11, 1914. For the centennial of his birth, the Catholic Truth Society in London has published a brief biography by Helena Scott and Ethel Tolansky entitled "The Power of Humility."

Fr. Joseph (José Luis Múzquiz de Miguel) was born in 1912 in Badajoz, Spain. He helped St. Josemaria spread Opus Dei to many countries, especially the United States.
