Opus Dei

Each year a group of Irish students organizes a work camp to help needy people in St. Petersburg by refurbishing their dwellings. The work camp has also included students from Finland, the U.S., Lithuania, and Latvia. Joe Flanagan relates his memories of the camp.

Some sixty people from a wide range of professions participated in a symposium organized by Warrane College to mark the first centenary of the founder of Opus Dei, Blessed Josemaría Escrivá.

Within the beautiful setting of the mountains of West Vancouver, BC at the Hollyburn Country Club, Headford Cultural Group presented its first conference on the influence of Blessed Josemaria on professional life, family and education. The conference took place on June 15, 2002 and was attended by over 200 people

A number of West Coast high school students tried out a new kind of mind-expansion this past June 17 to 21: Westwood Study Center’s Leadership for America Summer Seminar.

The Murray Hill Institute held its second annual conference entitled "Integrity and Ethics in the Workplace," from October 12-13, 2001. Held at a hotel a few miles from "Ground Zero," the conference, like Manhattan itself, was keenly attuned to the thousands who died on September 11, 2001.
