In August, we celebrated the Jubilee of Youth in Tor Vergata (in Rome) with Pope Leo XIV. We discovered some amazing stories there, and we want to share them with you now. Here’s what Moris has to say:
My name is Moris. I work in the real estate sector, mainly helping international investors discover opportunities in Dubai. It’s a demanding field, but it constantly pushes me to grow and to connect with people from all kinds of backgrounds.
I wanted to take part in the Jubilee because I felt I needed to step away from the noise of everyday life — the business, the rush, the uncertainty — and reconnect with something deeper. I wanted to remember why I do what I do, and bring that sense of purpose back home.
During those days, I found peace — something quite rare for me. I met people who shared the same hopes and struggles, and that made me feel less alone.
When I returned, I felt both renewed and overwhelmed. Renewed by the faith I had witnessed, and overwhelmed because I realized how much still needs to be done to bring that light into everyday life.
It’s painful to see how divided and tense the situation has become. There’s a constant sense of instability that wears people down emotionally. Yet even in that, I see great strength: ordinary people trying to live with dignity and kindness despite everything. That gives me hope.
In these circumstances, I believe my role is to reflect stability — in business, in friendships, and even on social media, I try to speak with faith, not fear. I’m convinced that hope begins with tone — in the way we speak about our future and our people. My goal is to build bridges: between cultures, between religions, between those who have and those who have lost everything.
