Anchored in Hope
The 2025 Jubilee of Hope was officially inaugurated by Pope Francis with the opening of the Holy Door on 24th December 2024. It will run until the Solemnity of the Epiphany of Our Lord on 6th January 2026 and is an opportunity for the faithful around the world to discover the richness of the Jubilee's theme taken from St. Paul: "Hope does not disappoint." Tiago, Portugal: "I want to make the most of life"
Tiago is from Porto, works as a mechanical engineer, and loves car competitions. At the age of 20, he lost his grandfather, which let him to start questioning many aspects of his life. A friend, who passed away in an accident that same summer, told him about Opus Dei. Discovering prayer was the beginning of a path that led him to discern his vocation to the Work as a numerary.

Alvaro gets us a new car!
At the start of this year, my wife and I came to the realization that we needed a new car. My wife’s business was growing and the car we had at the time was too small to carry the different materials that we usually use in the course of the work. Our family was also growing bigger as we were expecting a baby due to be born in May.
