The mortal remains of Bishop Javier Echevarría were brought this morning to Our Lady of Peace, the Prelatic church of Opus Dei. A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, December 15th, at 7 pm, in Saint Eugene's basilica.

The Prelate of Opus Dei, Bishop Javier Echevarría, is in the Campus Bio-Medico hospital in Rome with a minor lung infection.

Bishop Javier Echevarría has asked us to pray for the victims of the quake in central Italy and to provide whatever assistance is possible.

From 2-6 June, Bishop Javier Echevarría was in Slovenia and Croatia for a brief pastoral visit. He met with faithful of the Prelature and friends and encouraged them in their apostolic efforts.

In reference to the recent quake, the Prelate of Opus Dei has sent a letter to the Vicar of the Prelature in Ecuador, Msgr. Paulino Busca.

Bishop Javier Echevarría, Prelate of Opus Dei, encourages university students from all over the world attending the 2016 UNIV Congress in Rome during Holy Week to strive to stay close to Christ each day and to share their faith with those around them, and to pray especially for the Pope.
