Opus Dei

A family needs affection and supernatural vision when caring for a needy person. St. Josemaría tells a mother that her mentally-handicapped child will draw her closer to God (Weekly Vídeo: 02’22”).

As we see in the parable of the prodigal son, Christian life means returning every day to the Father's house (02’22’’).

In April 1934, Saint Josemaria composed a prayer to the Holy Spirit that he prayed frequently and encouraged others to pray.

The essential equality between men and women demands an understanding of the complementary roles which they play in the Church’s growth and in the progress of society.

How does Jesus approach us? Our Lord approaches us as he did his disciples: with affection, with naturalness, with patience in the face of our mistakes (0:59).

"God's Footprint" is the first video cartoon about the figure of Saint Josemaria Escrivá de Balaguer. It is not a simple biography, but a fascinating story, marked by historic events that highlight his special sensitivity to the things of God.

To pray means to talk with God as one talks with a friend or a brother. And our Lord is always waiting for us to converse with him (01’46’’).

“My friend doesn’t believe in priests,” someone told St. Josemaría. “Neither do I!” he answered. “I believe because of our Lord Jesus Christ!” (01’15”).

St. Josemaría suggests working gladly and enthusiastically, in order to earn one’s livelihood and support one’s family. But above all to please God. That is Opus Dei (01’34”).

With a lot of work to do, we can easily forget to greet our Lord and our Lady with words of affection. St. Josemaría suggested using “alarm clocks,” small objects or pictures that remind us of God’s presence (01’38”).
