The Pope is the Vicar of Christ; the Pope is Peter. The Pope is God's representative on earth.

Our love as Christians must be like this: Jesus Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, the Pope! The Pope above all else. And if the Pope is disagreeable? Well, even if he were, should such a case ever arise. And if the Pope were ever to...? Who are you to judge the Pope? We cannot judge the Pope: we must love him, and that's that. Agreed? And then, pray that he may be agreeable, that he may do things well. See? Very good.

And love him as we love our mother or father when they are getting on in years and when are somewhat infirm, etc. Just the same. Exactly the same.

On earth, he forms, so to speak, a single unit of love with Christ; with the Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of Christ; with Joseph, father of Christ; and the Pope! I've already answered you, haven't I? Love the Pope.
