The Father in Nigeria: the last day

Thursday, 26 July 2018 was the last day of the Father’s stay in Nigeria, and nobody was looking to saying goodbye, neither the Prelate nor those he came to see in Nigeria. Early that day, the Father paid a visit to Msgr. Alfred Martins, the Archbishop of Lagos, in his house. They chatted for more than half an hour. Later he went into the Cathedral for a brief time of prayer.

Celebrating Five Years Since the Father Visited the Institute for Industrial Technology

On Wednesday, 25 July 2018, some of the students of the Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT) in Isheri, Lagos, had the opportunity of showing the Prelate of Opus Dei around their school, and what they do in the different workshops. The Father was very attentive to how they narrated their gratitude and that of their families for the education that they are receiving. During the tour, he was also able to greet a good number of the employees and students.

Pan-Atlantic University welcomed the Father five years ago today

On Monday 23 July 2018 the Prelate spent most of the day at the outskirts of Lagos. In the morning he visited and dedicated the Grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help at the Pan-Atlantic University. At 11:00 a.m., he had a meeting and get-together with the promoters of that educational initiative as well as some members of the administration of the university.

Looking back at the Father’s visit to Enugu 5 Years Ago

Several people were at the Enugu airport waiting to receive the Prelate of Opus Dei with so much excitement 24 July 2018. These include families with their children, some of them bearing bouquets of flowers. It was to be an intense one-day visit because he was due to return to Lagos that same day.

The Prelate’s Visit to the Lagoon School and the Lagos Business School five years ago

The Lagoon Secondary School was in a festive mood and all in splendid attires to welcome the Prelate, who was to preach, celebrate Mass, meet small groups of people, as well as have a general get-together with women of Opus Dei, cooperators and friends who participate in the means of formation on the 21st July 2018. The transition from one activity to the other afforded many a good opportunity to greet the Father even if only briefly.
