4th Commandment: Honour your father and mother
The Old Testament presents the fourth commandment as follows: “Honour your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you” (Ex 20:12). It is a commandment that includes a promise from God: the promise to favour the child who loves his parents.
3rd Commandment: Keep the Lord’s day holy
The third commandment is about rest and its importance for anyone who works or studies. It also includes our need to worship God in the way He wants us to: through the Holy Mass.
