Pope's Prayer Intention for August 2025
In a world where tensions are mounting, Pope Leo XIV invites us to pray in August for mutual coexistence. In his prayer intention, he prays especially that societies not fall into the temptation of confrontation over ethnic, political or religious reasons.

During their recent visit to Rome for the Holy Week and Easter celebrations, some university students from the Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, visited the Nigerian Cardinal His Eminence Francis Cardinal Arinze, at his private residence in the Vatican.
Shiró, Kenya: "No man is an island... We need each other"
Shiró is happiest spending time with people: “I need people, and feeling that they need me makes me want to give the best of myself. No man is an island... We need each other.” This openness led her to start her studies in healthcare, and later move to hospitality and catering in her country, Kenya. She also started a social initiative to help street children. All these experiences confirmed her vocation to Opus Dei as an assistant numerary.
