A new podcast and book have been released titled, “Encounters: Finding God in all walks of life.”

From 30 July to 8 August, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz visited Arequipa, Piura, and Lima. At the same time of year, 50 years ago, St. Josemaría traveled to Peru to be with members and friends of Opus Dei there in 1974.

“In the morning, long before dawn, Jesus got up and left the house, and went off to a lonely place and prayed there.” Imagine, if you can, living with Jesus like the early disciples in a fishing village called Capernuam. You wake up and walk with him. It’s a bit chilly. You reach the outskirts of the village and keep walking. It’s still dark, long before dawn. You walk far enough to be totally alone. Alone with God.

Raymond, a Physics major and avid chess player, discovered an inspiration for his life of faith in the story of Montse Grases. He designed youthful prayer cards to spread devotion to her. She was declared Venerable in 2016 by Pope Francis.

On 25 May, twenty-nine faithful of Opus Dei received priestly ordination from Bishop Paul Toshihiro Sakai, auxiliary bishop of Osaka-Takamatsu (Japan). The ceremony took place in the Basilica of Saint Eugene (Rome).
