On Easter Sunday, Pope Leo XIV delivered his Urbi et Orbi message from St. Peter’s Basilica, proclaiming Christ's resurrection as “the beginning of a new humanity.” He called on the world to be transformed by the peace of the Risen Christ and to reject the growing “globalization of indifference” to war and suffering.

The Regina Coeli (or "Regina Cæli") is a Marian and Christological prayer honouring the Virgin Mary during the Easter season. The composition opens with the words, "Queen of Heaven," and is a liturgical celebration of the Resurrection of Mary's Son, Jesus Christ.

In the audience on Wednesday of Holy Week, the Pope encourages us to “bear joyful witness to the Resurrection.” He also greeted the nearly 2,500 UNIV participants who came to Rome for Holy Week with the Pope.

In the life of the Church, priests are called to accompany, support and serve their communities. But they themselves can go through difficult moments in which they need closeness and support. With this in mind, Pope Leo XIV, in his prayer intention for the month of April, invites us to pray for priests experiencing a crisis, that they might experience the nearness of God and his people, and rediscover hope and joy in their vocation.

In his prayer intention for March, Pope Leo invites us to pray that nations lay down their weapons, adopt diplomacy and justice, and seek true security founded on trust and solidarity among peoples.

In a recent letter titled “Life in Abundance,” the Holy Father presents sport as a “school of life” in which we “learn that abundance does not come from victory at any cost, but from sharing, from respecting others and from the joy of walking together.”
