On October 2, 2008 it will be 80 years since Opus Dei was founded through divine inspiration by Saint Josemaría Escrivá. All over the world Liturgical celebrations are taking place to mark this event.
In Nigeria, the first of several Solemn Masses of Thanksgiving will take place in the Parish of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom at the University of Ibadan.
Most Rev Felix Alaba Job, the archbishop of Ibadan diocese will be the chief celebrant. Also celebrating will be Msgr. Ignatius Sotos, the Regional Vicar of Opus Dei in Nigeria.
The Mass will take place on Friday 19th September, 2008, at 6.00pm. Confessions will be heard as from 5.00pm.
