As of this morning, the Catholic Church has a new Blessed: the Spanish chemist and researcher Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri (1916-1975), a member of Opus Dei who was beatified in a ceremony presided over by Cardinal Becciu, prefect of the Congregation of the Causes of the Saints, held in Madrid at 11 am this morning at the Vistalegre Arena.

The Prelate of Opus Dei, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz, went on Friday to the Royal Oratory of Caballero de Gracia, located on the Gran Via in Madrid, to pray before the mortal remains of the one who tomorrow will be Blessed Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri.

Groups from all over the world can be seen on the streets of Madrid, visiting places connected with Guadalupe's life, praying before her mortal remains at the Royal Oratory of the Knight of Grace, or visiting an exhibition about her at the Tajamar School.
