Opus Dei

Morro Velho Social Center began in 1969 in Jardim Taboão, a poor village in the outskirts of São Paulo, with a small group of women from the village. Nowadays some 300 students graduate each year from its course of professional formation.

More than 500 people took part in a series of talks and panel discussions on the family, organized by the Family Development Institute of Kianda School in Nairobi, as a way of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the school and also commemorating the centennial of the birth of Blessed Josemaria.

One fact has remained evident: God has guided the church lovingly all this while.
