Rita Youssif belongs to the Maronite Rite. When still a young girl in Lebanon she had to flee from her village because of the fighting. But she soon came to realize that God had a plan for her life (Video).

On July 6th, a Mass for the feast of Saint Josemaría Escrivá was celebrated at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Saigon.

“Be sowers of peace and joy,” said St Josemaria in his catechesis. And this sowing has reached Ushuaia, the southern-most city of Argentina, which has dedicated a street to him.

As we see in the parable of the prodigal son, Christian life means returning every day to the Father's house (02’22’’).

2009 marks the 70th anniversary of the publication of St. Josemaría’s spiritual masterpiece, "The Way." It has sold 5 million copies in 50 languages. Here is the introduction to "The Way" written by Bishop Javier Echevarría for the 2006 Doubleday edition.

Bishop Javier Echevarría asks us to give thanks to God for the gift of the priesthood, since "the priesthood is the love of Jesus’ Heart."

During the Year for Priests convoked by Benedict XVI, Bishop Javier Echevarría asks us to pray that God bless the Church with many holy priests. Also a video and some related bibliographical material.
