Since last year, the 2nd to the 6th of October plays host to a bevvy of special events and activities in Strathmore University when they celebrate Founder's Day.

"Shosh" is the affectionate nickname that many students at Kibondeni College gave to the late Mrs. Oda Namulanda. It translates to "Granny" in English. The affection that moved those lady students to call her Shosh was born from the trust and good humour that Mrs. Namulanda cultivated with each of them through her inspiring work as a teacher and a mentor.

Thirty years ago, in August 1987, a young member of Opus Dei managed to save the life of an African boy in Kenya – but lost his own in doing so. The story of that day is recounted by Miguel Aranguren in his book "Desde un Tren Africano."

A number of Spanish schools have been taking part in Harambee scholarship projects.

It was not so easy to convince Professor Albert Alos to publish Sowing the Seed. Although the collation of the manuscript started in 2011, Alos only agreed to have it published five years later.

Around the world and around the 26th of June, many people make a special effort to celebrate one of the more recent saints of the Church: St. Josemaria Escriva.

The Diocese of Nakuru began a wonderful tradition to celebrate the feast of St. Josemaria annually since 2014.

For more than 10 years now, members of Opus Dei have been making regular trips to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to give means of formation to interested university students and professionals, young and old, men and women. On Saturday 10th June 2017, a public Mass in honour of St. Josemaria was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Gerald Wabukenda at St. Peter's Oyster Bay Church.

“Over the past months, my work has taken me to the Amazon in Brazil and Lake Turkana in Kenya, seeking to portray the human condition with my camera, irrespective of race, religion or belief. I am particularly interested in each person,” says photojournalist Ismael Martinez.
