Masses of St. Josemaría in Ghana

Last June 26 has perpetually remained engraved in my memory because I participated in several Masses in honour of St. Josemaría in Ghana, and it was the first time I would celebrate his feast outside Nigeria. The idea was made possible thanks to a conference on family medicine I attended a month earlier, in May, at Elmina, in Ghana’s Central Region.

The Rookie Lawyer who cannot stay away from Trouble

We share the self-narrated story of Collins a young lawyer, fresh out of Law School who, despite his inexperience and lack of means, could not hold himself back from helping people in need. The sight of someone in handcuffs, the cry of a mother whose only son was about to be jailed for a petty reason, innocent people who only needed a lawyer to speak for them… these were some of the sights that elicited empathy from Collins, and he decided to help, often without invitation.

During these days many masses were celebrated in honor of St Josemaria in Africa and in the whole world. From Kigali in Rwanda to Kampala, Mbarara in Uganda and Kisumu, Homabay, Kisii, Eldoret, Rongo, Kitengela, Ongata Rongai, Kitui, Mombasa in Kenya, and Dar es salam in Tanzania, and Pretoria and Johannesburg in South Africa, and Gaborone in Botswana.

From Asturias to Kinshasa: the work of a dentist in Congo

Dr. Ignacio Martínez, a stomatologist, who lives in Oviedo and has his practice in Avilés, has been collaborating with Monkole Hospital in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, since August 2016. He usually stays in Kinshasa for a month, during his holiday leave, to do a social work that has been awarded by the Asturias Dentists Association.
