Priestly Ordinations on 22 May

On the 22nd of May, at 10 am, Archbishop Georg Gänswein will ordain 27 faithful of Opus Dei as priests. The ceremony will be broadcast live on this website.

Achbishop Georg Gänswein, prefect of the Papal Household and private secretary to Benedict XVI, will ordain 27 faithful of Opus Dei as priests in the Basilica of Saint Eugene in Rome. The ceremony will begin at 10 am Rome time.

Due to the restrictions required for the pandemic, attendance will be limited and only some relatives and friends of the deacons will be able to participate in the ordination.

As on previous occasions, the ceremony will be broadcast on this website. We will offer the link a few hours before it starts.

The future priests come from Germany, Romania, Brazil, Canada, England, Ivory Coast, Slovakia, Spain, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, Lithuania, Nigeria and Peru.
