St. John Eudes Rehabilitation Centre was put up in 2001 by the Catholic diocese of Kitui to cater for street children in Kitui and neighbouring counties. The centre takes in both boys and girls and has an accommodation capacity of 65.

I asked her what was going on. She broke down but eventually told me the story.

This being the Year of Mercy, I was especially keen to show mercy to these young colleagues of mine.

Dora del Hoyo's example is an inspiration for the young people working in the Jahazi Conference Centre in Mombasa, Kenya. The first phase of Dora's cause of canonization was recently concluded in Rome.

On November 13 in Rome, the Holy Door in the prelatic church of our Lady of Peace, which has been open during the Jubilee Year of Mercy, was closed by the Prelate.

Dora has been my role model of wanting to always do things well; first because they are to be offered to God and secondly as a service to others.
