On Saturday, 3rd of November, 34 faithful of Opus Dei from 16 countries will receive the diaconate in the Roman basilica of St. Eugene. Their priestly ordination will be next May 4th.

The Holy See has communicated that Pope Francis – accepting the petition made by the Prelate of Opus Dei, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz – has decreed that Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri will be beatified in Madrid on Saturday 18 May 2019.

In his Wednesday October 24 general audience, Pope Francis spoke about the Sixth Commandment and the requirement of fidelity.

“I really needed this,” was the comment of one priest at the end of the week. Like many priests busy with their pastoral work, he knew how to give spiritual strength to others but was getting very little himself. One of the Christians in his parish heard about a seminar being organised for diocesan priests and paid for him to attend.
