On Wednesday August 8, continuing his catechesis on the ten commandments, Pope Francis spoke about the dangers of idolatry in Christian life.

On Thursday, 5 July 2018, Pope Francis authorized several decrees on heroic virtues, including those relating to two teenagers: the Anglo-Italian Carlo Acutis and the Spaniard Alexia González-Barros, who died respectively at 15 and 14 years of age.

This book gathers together the audiences of Pope Francis in St Peter’s Square dedicated to explaining the Holy Mass and the Eucharist, given between November 2017 and April 2018.

On June 20, in Saint Peter's Square, Pope Francis continued his series of addresses on the ten commandments.

On Wednesday 13 June, Pope Francis began a series of catecheses on the role of the ten commandments in Christian life.

On Saturday May 26, at 10 am, the Holy Father received Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz, Prelate of Opus Dei, in an audience.

In his homily on Pentecost, Pope Francis said: "the Church is always the youthful bride with whom the Lord is madly in love. Let us never tire of welcoming the Spirit into our lives, of invoking him before everything we do."

Pope Francis has written the preface for the second volume of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI's collected writings, on the theme "faith and politics."

"Baptism gives us strength for our daily struggle, even the struggle against the devil who like a lion tries to devour us," Pope Francis said in his April 25 general audience.

Pope Francis has written at length about the universal call to holiness in the Church: "to that perfect holiness by which the Father himself is perfect.”
