The Family Cooperation Health Services Foundation has primary health-care programs in Las Piñas and Muntinlupa. The program includes classes for barangay health workers and mothers. The foundation holds medical-dental missions monthly.

Punlaan School and Talon Family Farm School help to uplift the living standards of the students and their families, always guided by Christian values.

The Family Farm School system in the Philippines, established by members of Opus Dei, can be the answer to the problem of underdevelopment in the Philippine rural areas.

"All together for Africa" is the motto of "Harambee," a solidarity project begun in 2002 to commemorate the canonization of the founder of Opus Dei. On February 13, Harambee announced four new African development initiatives.

Women members of Opus Dei began "Kimbondo," a social action program on the outskirts of Kinshasa, Congo.

The TOT (Training of Trainers) Project began in 2003. University students from Fanusi Study Centre, a corporate apostolic work of Opus Dei, are trained to train rural women to start and run their own micro businesses.

Hang Ah Hillside, a non-profit cultural center located in the heart of San Francisco’s Chinatown and business district, promotes the well-rounded development of women and girls, with the goal of strengthening their families and enriching their communities.

Kianda Foundation, a non-profit trust established in 1961 to provide education to women in Kenya, has embarked on building an Endowment Fund that will provide education to 350 girls and 500 women in Kenya in perpetuity. Besides providing women with professional preparation, Kianda’s institutions offer programs of spiritual formation, which they have entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church.

“To educate a woman is to educate a family” goes the motto of the Centro de Formación Integral para la Mujer (CEFIM), which was established in La Paz, Bolivia, in 1986. CEFIM offers women of limited means a broad-based program of training and education, which qualifies them for jobs and helps them improve their life situation.

Conferral of prizes established in observance of the canonization of Opus Dei’s Founder took place in Rome’s City Hall on November 15, 2004.
