Opus Dei

The Holy Land Dialogues, organized by Saxum Foundation, combines visits to the Holy Sites with academic lectures given by experts, with the aim of fostering intercultural and interreligious dialogue in the Holy Land.

The Pontifical University of the Holy Cross recently organized a seminar to reflect on the holiness of lay people, in the context of Guadalupe Ortiz's beatification. Enrique Shaw, whose process of canonization has been opened, was one of the people highlighted there.

Born in Madrid, Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri met Saint Josemaria in 1944 and decided to dedicate her life to finding God in her professional work and spreading the message of the universal call to holiness. With initiative and trust in God, she helped many people find joy, through her work teaching chemistry, her close friendships with people of all walks of life, and through the centers of Christian formation, including domestic work and by promoting social projects. She will be beatified on May 18, 2019.

34 faithful of Opus Dei were ordained priests on Saturday, May 4th, at the Basilica of St. Eugene in Rome. The new priests come from 16 different countries and join the clergy of the Prelature.

UNIV Kenya Women’s Congress 2019 took place on Saturday 23rd February at Strathmore University, on the topic "The Transformative Power of Work." UNIV is an annual international university congress that takes place in Rome during Holy Week.
