I am 57 years old, I am an employment lawyer, and I am married.
In 2007, I discovered I had cancer. I had been suffering from constant haemorrhaging for ten years. The cancer had been caused by a viral infection.
At that time, I was divorced from my husband, which was a source of great pain for me. I had left my home city at the age of 21 to build our family together, and I returned at 42 in the situation I’ve described. Well, after receiving the diagnosis, I prayed to Álvaro del Portillo asking for healing, and not only the physical kind.
I had two operations, the virus was contained, and the haemorrhaging stopped immediately after the second operation. The grace was obtained! Thank God, I had no metastasis or recurrence. I did not need to undergo radiotherapy or chemotherapy either. As a precaution, I have check-ups every year.
In addition to the physical healing, I also received another kind of cure, because my husband and I were reconciled. Our children have married, and today we have five grandchildren. I am immensely grateful to God and to Don Álvaro del Portillo, now Blessed, for the grace I received.
